Taking The Journey is a friendly Writer's Journal, Social web/blog site, meaning that we work with companies and individuals who are looking to get their products, services or personal information in front of a powerful group of consumers – women, (Single moms and professionals, more specifically) though our population of male readers is growing.
Taking The Journey (TTJ) WEB DIRECTORY: Advertising in our directory can increase your client potential by making your business easily accessible to those who require your product or service. Or you can use it to just get people to find out more about what you do: example, your personal Blog. With so many categories, there is one that will work for you. Taking the Journey can also build a new website for you or your company. Another option is to send us a link to your existing site and we can add it to our directory for only $9.95 a month!!

PR Advertising on our site directly: We can do both reviews and giveaways, but the products must be connected to what we write about: RELATIONSHIPS! We will typically review products that:

  • Are directly related to an article posted by one of our writers within the past three months.
  • Appeal to the 35 to 50 something crowd
  • Are reasonably priced.
  • Are designed to cater to and make relationships easier. Examples: hair products, vacations, art, food, cars, clothing, lingerie, massages, gym pass, etc.

Taking The Journey is now accepting ads. If interested, please email us at takingthejourney@takingthejourney.com and we will get back to you with advertising rates to fit your budget. We look forward to hearing from you.

Commitment is one of those qualities that everyone seems to think he or she can define, until he or she is asked to define it. Recognizing committed couples is easier than describing one. One’s actions demonstrate commitment rather than their words.

Nephrologist Martin Pollak and his team found that a common genetic mutation of the APOL1 gene might be partly responsible for African Americans' susceptibility. The mutation likely arose due to natural selection because it protects against African sleeping sickness, Pollak wrote. Yet it also makes African Americans more vulnerable to kidney disease, according to the study released last month in the online issue of Science Magazine.
